The unexpected expat blogger behind Meadow Glow Field

Hi there, I’m Claire
I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Paris, France.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What started as a temporary assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn’t part of the master plan. Like many international relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more tangled than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was cultural adjustment, uncertainty, and lots of hands-on learning. But over time, routines took hold. We found places that suited us, met other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Meadow Glow Field
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in France.
What This Site Does (And Doesn't Do)
This site is:
- Practical experience from living in France
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site is not:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in France continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Claire
